Godly Play

Godly play is a Montessori based curriculum that uses a creative and imaginative approach to Christian formation.


It models the worship life, stories, symbols and rituals of the church.


Nurturing participants and teachers alike to larger dimensions of belief and faith through wondering and play.


All are welcome to bring your children every Sunday 11 am - Noon.

Christina (Chris) Vasquez

Godly Play Host

 

Chris moved to Punta Gorda from Chicago with her family in 2020. She is married and has one son. She has been around church all of her life and began her ministry for the church as a vocalist when she was still a teenager. She also had a career in the Intensive Care as an registered nurse for 20 years. She is passionate about Christian formation and journeying with others. She coordinates our yearly curriculum for children and youth as well as VPK Godly Play in our Day School. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, reading and travel.

Jamie Bradsher

Godly Play Host

 

Jamie has been a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd family since 2011. She loves teaching and learning alongside our children and youth. Her passion for faith formation grew naturally while raising her own son and daughter. She is a certified Godly Play teacher, Vestry member, Eucharistic Minister, and member of the Diocesan Youth and Young Adult Commission. While Jamie works professionally as a local paralegal, she is always ready to chat about her favorite interests: history and culture!
